How to Download an Image
Choose your image then directly below it right click on your prefered format svg or jpg.
An option box will now appear and you need to select "Save" (on a windows machine it will say "Save link as").
A "Save as" panel will then appear and you can then save the image in your downloads (or other folder of your choice).
Uploading to your Web Editor
Go to your GitHub repository and open the github.dev web-based editor so you can see the Side Bar's file list to the left, then open your downloads folder (or your chosen folder).
Select the image in the folder then drag it across to the image folder in the web-based editor, the folder should be highlighted blue to show you are in the correct place then drop.
Now to commit the uploaded image, in the Activity Bar select 
Source control.
You will now see the pending commits list, if you have more than this image pending a commit, then hover over the image name and select the + symbol. The image will now move from the "Changes" list to the "Staged Changes" above. This ensures you are only committing this item.
Now add your commit message in the top box then click on the blue Commit & Push button.
Your image is now saved and waiting to be used.
github.dev web-based editor
To open in current tab
Press the . key the fullstop / period key, this opens up the github.dev web-based editor in your current browser tab.
To open in new tab
If you press shift + > this will open the editor in a new tab.
Note: You need to be logged into GitHub.com to use this.
On GitHub.com on the Repository page you can press shift + ? to get a list of Keyboard shortcuts to complete tasks.
